Richard Amos – Managing Director

Richard joined Royce in 1992 and became an equity partner in 1996. He has extensive experience in designing and directing media and stakeholder communication programs for companies and government departments. Richard has worked for ATO, Holden, Kraft, Heinz, Sensis and Ferrier Hodgson on major media relations assignments. He also has a strongbackground in legal communications, investment attraction, tourism, private health insurance, environment and OH&S communications. He has consulted on various stakeholder communication strategies for clients such as the EPA, the United Nations (UNEP FI), Places Victoria, Steritech, Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner and the Australian Building and Construction Commission, Office of Commonwealth Games Co-ordination, Department of Education and Training (Vic.) and Department of Justice (Vic.).

Richard has strong working relationships with many of Australia’s leading business, finance and legal reporters, and is one of Royce’s Media Training leaders. Between 1989-1991 he was a specialist lecturer and tutor at RMIT in sociology, organisational communications strategy and research, public relations case studies and PR campaigns. Richard is currently a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (FPRIA). His Board appointments have included the Hawthorn Football Club (current), Prince Henry’s Institute for Medical Research, Collins Partners, and Brotherhood of St Laurence Social Enterprises Advisory Board.
